- View of Lonesome Lake
Another Good Reason to Move to New Hampshire!
I went on an awesome hike with my family yesterday to Lonesome Lake in Franconia Notch. The hike was 1 mile each way, a little strenuous for me going up, but once we got there I knew the view was worth the huffing and puffing! The trail begins at the Lafayette Campground in Franconia Notch and leads you zig zagging up to Lonesome Lake which is a beautiful, clear glacial tarn. We did not stay overnight, but if you want to , there is even an Appalacian Mountain Club hut, appropriately named the Lonesome Lake Hut. Well worth the trip!
